is not existing. Would you go to your category and try to select a different shadow for the category. Let us know if anything change

Hi I am having a similar problem on the site www.focusabc.com . The map is not loading.

I have just updated to the new version. The old version also had this issue if the title had any unusual accents on words eg ñ.

Can you help or should I just wait for the new relaease.

Hm, I see it. This is something that I have fixed in the new version. I think that it will be better to wait till the end of the week, then to start making code fixes - this should be the easier option

i've got the same problem....map not diplaying....
Also having problems with the menu overlay: not displaying the same way in IE or Firefox...ant positionned in the middle of the map....
will the next version fix this issue too? and what about the date of the release?

Please have a little bit more patience! I'm working hard on this for the several last days. Today I also started uploading the fixes to svn:
dev.compojoom.com/projects/activity/hotspots

So far everything is going well and the new version should be out on Monday, latest on Tuesday.

Ok, the new version is published:

After downloading this file i still have the same error as mentioned above.
I placed the following text in the starting place box : Amsterdam, Nederland (also tryed amsterdam, Netherlands).
Changing by Startposition / Startzoom to by category markers bounds doenst help either.
In the backend everything works tho.

Here is the problem

Go to the categories and change the images for them.
sample_shadow1 was missing from the zip package - sorry about this - fixed for 1.0 stable.

This may be completely unrelated but I seem sporadically to get this. The only way Ive cleared it is to uninstall completely and reinstall. Obviously I wont be able to do this once the site goes live is there any chance that theres an underlying problem? Is there a limit to the number of times an instance is *allowed* to interrogate googlemaps cause Ive been loading and reloading this map almost continually for the last 7 hours whilst programming. Could this cause an issues? I might be barking up the wrong tree having spen too much time programming straight who knows?
If for instance I switch to the add hotspot tab the loading box disappears? See

Can you see the loading box? It semed to start this suddenly (not in relation to a particular change made in code). Any thoughts welcomes, would turrning on debug mode help root out the issue?

Ive made the loading layer 1px x 1px and with a zindex of 0 in an effort to overcome this by default. Hope this isnt a problem with hotspots but am not sure wht made this happen suddenly.

Kate, can you imagine that I'll ask my users to uninstall the component from time to time???? What will happen with my image????

No, there must be something else - your site is in development, so you are changing things, perhaps introducing javascript errors that prevent the component from loading.
Next time this happens - just write in the forum and will figure out what is wrong.

Also user firefox and install this plugin for it:
addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/1843/
next time the component is not working, turn it on and check with it what is wrong on your website.

Hi Daniel, sorry I just meant to say Im just worried that somethings triggered to interfere with hotspots. I use firebug but not sure how I would use it to find this sort of issue. I just usually use it to correct css issues not scripting ones.

Hostpots and Hsloading layer is still there (just at z-index 0) and 1px x 1px so I can at least run through the site today. Which particular bit of firebug helps detect scripting errors btw?

The browser IE is giving me "progressBar" is null or not an object, and firefox is just saying transferring data from id.google.com.

Not sure what couldve happened to cause this.

Are you using 1.0 stable?
if you go to the settings-> advanced I think -> there is an option to use a progress bar - turn it on and check if the map works.
